kitchen sink as a whole is such an emotionally complicated song. there’s so much distress in it; a lot of the song is spent trying to cover up the fact that you’re pleading for help. and I think my favorite part of the song is the end, after you’ve broken down and finally said, “don’t leave me alone,” and the song winds down and the music sort of finds a peace. it’s not necessarily happy, but it’s sort of like a tranquil sadness. an acceptance. everything isn’t magically okay but it’s on the path to get there.
